Popular business magazine and website Fast Company recently published their list of The World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2019. 

Fast Company states:

“Our 2019 ranking of the businesses making the most profound impact on both industry and culture showcases a variety of ways to thrive in today’s volatile world.”

Number 6 on the list is Sweetgreen, which Arlington residents and working professionals will recognize as one of the most popular local restaurants.

Sweetgreen occupies one of the retail spaces of Two Liberty Center at 4075 Wilson Blvd. The restaurant focuses on healthy food and unique salads. According to their website:

Sweetgreen was ranked as one of the most innovative companies for “Flaunting its roots,” as Fast Company wrote:

“With 91 restaurants in eight states and a network of 150 farmers across the country, Sweetgreen has created a fast-casual, farm-to-table empire that’s poised to expand by (at least) another 15 outposts this year.”

Fast Company highlights cult products, smarter delivery, a secure supply chain and less waste as standouts for the company.
