Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH)

The Shooshan Company likes to highlight local organizations working to make Arlington, and the world, a better place. One such organization is the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH). APAH is a nonprofit focused on increasing the number of committed affordable apartments in the DC Metro area for our low-income neighbors. Their mission states:
“To develop, preserve, and own quality, affordable places to live; to promote stability and opportunity for our residents; and to advocate with the people and communities we serve.”

Since APAH was founded in 1989, their portfolio has grown to more than $200 million. Their rental communities provide safe, attractive housing to over 1,800 households in the Washington, DC Metro region, mainly in Arlington County in a mix of renovated garden apartments and new construction, mixed-income, mid-rise and high-rise apartment buildings.
APAH has achieved a lot for the Arlington community and we look forward to seeing them continue to do great things.
There are many ways to become involved with APAH, including volunteering, donating or joining their team. Find out more on their website at
