Marymount, Shooshan earn approval for Ballston gateway project

The Arlington County board has unanimously backed the redevelopment of a Ballston gateway site with a pair of new buildings, one office and one residential.
Marymount University, with developer The Shooshan Co., will replace the 50-year-old “Blue Goose” office building at 1000 N. Glebe Road with a nine-story, 165,204-square-foot office building and a 15-story, 267-unit apartment building. The project will include 3,000 square feet of retail and a 10,600-square-foot public plaza.
